Payments

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Brq provides software integrations that let merchants connect supported third-party payment providers to their stores.

Brq does not hold, pool, withdraw, or settle the proceeds of independent store sales. Customer funds settle according to the merchant's direct agreement with the payment provider they connect.

1Merchant payment-provider account

  • The merchant opens and owns their account with the payment provider.
  • The provider decides account approval, available payment methods, limits, reserves, settlement timing, and supported countries.
  • Provider credentials entered in Brq are used to connect the merchant's store to that provider.

2How a store payment works

  • The customer chooses a payment option made available by the merchant.
  • Sensitive payment details are submitted to the connected payment provider and handled under that provider's security controls.
  • Brq receives limited operational results, such as payment status, amount, currency, and provider reference, to update the store order.
  • Settlement takes place between the payment provider and the merchant, not through a Brq wallet or payout service.

3Fees, refunds, and disputes

  • Brq subscription and optional add-on fees are separate from payment processing fees.
  • The payment provider may charge the merchant its own fees under its agreement and pricing.
  • The merchant is responsible for customer refunds, chargebacks, and disputes relating to their store sales.
